How can I save money when I am only making minimum wage?

It can be done. It takes some patience and control. Here are some simple answers to this question.

1) Are you getting a tax refund this year? Do not spend it when you get it. I made this mistake in the past. I learned from it. Any and all gifts of money need to go into your savings. There may be a situation where you need some of it. Take this amount out and save the rest.

2) Start a change jar. I did. You will be surprised at how much money you can save in there.

3) Skip some of the processed food you eat. It may taste good, but it will add up. You will be surprised at how much it costs to eat conveniently.

4) Sell what you can afford to sell. Go over everything you own. Do you really need all of it? Get rid of what you do not need. Sell it in your neighborhood. You will walk away with some extra cash.

5) Can you afford the place you live in now? Take a look at your expenses. You may have to move someplace cheaper. This is not about status or impressing anyone. This is about your livelihood.

6) Make more money. Take some extra jobs when you can. Is there a new project at work which will bring in some extra cash? Put yourself up for the job. It may mean the difference between making $350 this week and close to $1,0000.
